Another order - a friend of my mother in law asked if I could make a cake for her nephew Michael who will be 13. He is an Arsenal fan and loves football!
For the cake, I made a chocolate sponge which was filled with buttercream. I then covered the cake with a layer of chocolate fondant before finally adding a thin layer of the red and white fondant.
I started with the football carefully adding black pentagons to the the white hexagons around the shape of the ball. The shirt was then covered in the red adding the white for the sleeves.
| The badge was made up using thin strips of coloured fondant then adding the cannon and the lettering. I am really pleased with how the badge came out, it really adds the finishing touch to the cake!! |
